All On-Campus fees provide for tuition, room, meals, recreation, WILD RIVER COUNTRY and Camp Annual.
All Off-Campus fees provide for tuition, recreation, WILD RIVER COUNTRY, Noon Meal
 and Camp Annual.

Note:  All applications Postmarked on or Before  May 19, 2017 will receive a FREE T-SHIRT. All applications Postmarked AFTER May 19, 2017 will be assessed a $25.00 LATE REGISTRATION FEE. and WILL NOT receive a FREE camp t-shirt.

Junior Camp: Students having completed grades five, six, seven or eight AND having completed six months of instrument training.
Senior Camp: Students having completed grades nine, ten, eleven or twelve AND having completed one year of instrumental training.

This year any woodwind, brass or percussion player who was a member of either your All-State Concert Bands or All-State Jazz Bands will receive a scholarship to Dixie Band Camp. The All-State Scholarship is $275 for On-Campus Students and $125.00 for Off-Campus Students. 
All-Staters must send the $75 balance when you submit your application for Senior Camp.

SENIOR CAMP:  Sunday, June 4,   9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.                                                                                                                             JUNIOR CAMP:  Sunday, June 11, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30.p.m.

Registration for all camps will be held in the lobby of the Snow Fine Arts Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. If you pay the balance in full before camp, you may go directly to the choir room for a dorm key assignment and NOT have to go through the main registration line. There is no key deposit, but if you do not turn in your key on the last day of camp there will be a $75.00 charge. There will be a $10.00 charge for a lost access key card. No student may tryout until all fees are paid.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           CANCELLATIONS:: NO CANCELLATION REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER MAY 19th, or to students dismissed from camp for any reason. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged to those canceling before the May 19th deadline.RETURN CHECK POLICY: There will be a $25.00 returned Check Fee. You will be notified ONE TIME:  After that your check will be turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney for collection.

The first meal provided by camp will be the evening meal of the first day of camp (SUNDAY).

HOUSING                                                                                                                                                                                                      Students are housed very close to all activities in air-conditioned dormitories. The camp is not responsible for the loss of personal items.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Two sheets (not fitted). pillow and light blanket .Bring your own toiletry articles  - whatever it takes for you to "get ready" each morning:       soap, shampoo, hairdryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Please bring a bath towel and washcloth.   Sunscreen is recommended.                                                          
Bring clothing for each day of camp and a  “Sunday” outfit for the final concert. If you plan to attend the final ‘Formal Dance’ please bring an additional ‘Nice’ outfit…NO shorts or jeans at the final dance, please!!

RECREATION: Bring athletic shoes, swimwear and clothes suitable for sports activities.                                                                                Senior Camp Thursday night dance theme will be DECADE DANCE. Dress in your favorite Decade clothing.

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO CAMP:  Possession or use of any illegal weapon, alcoholic beverage or unauthorized controlled substances, including tobacco products and e-cigs, will result in immediate dismissal from camp and notification of proper authorities! Skateboards or In Line skates should not be brought to camp.

AUTOS: Except for OFF-CAMPUS students, no student is allowed to RIDE IN or OPERATE an automobile, motorcycle, etc. while attending camp. If exceptions are made, it will only be because of unusual circumstances and with permission granted by a member of the Dixie Band Camp Board.

LEAVING CAMPUS: If it is NECESSARY for you to leave campus, you MUST have written permission from your parents,and approval from the camp office.


There will be a camp meeting at 1:00 p.m. on the first day of camp in the Ida Waldran Auditorium to go over tryout procedures. Bring your instrument to this meeting, as you will depart from there to go directly to tryouts.  See Tryout Information on back of your Acceptance Letter OR check 2016 Audition Material on this website.

If you have a preferred roommate…BOTH of you should go to the Dorm Registration area TOGETHER and request your room. We cannot make dorm or room assignments before the first day of camp.

All meals will be served in the Christian Cafeteria.

 IF Cell phones are brought to camp, they should be TURNED OFF during all meetings, classes, rehearsals, and concerts.

Your noon meal WILL BE FURNISHED. Please be aware that because you are staying off campus, your daily schedule may be somewhat different than that of the other campers, especially with regard to free time and night activities. The pick-up and drop-off point should be in front of the Snow Fine Arts Center. Please let your parents know when to be there to pick you up at the end of the day and also after the night activities. There will be a special meeting on the first day of camp at 12:30 p.m. in the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall to give OFF-CAMPUS students additional information. It is important that you attend this 12:30 meeting. Your parents are encouraged to attend as well.

 Helpful Hints

·   Be sure to fill out your Application Form completely and correctly.  Those not filled out properly WILL be returned...thus delaying or  denying your Official Acceptance!  

·   On-Line Registration is available on this website.  You may also download and print a "hard copy" of the camp application.         Complete this form and send with payment to the address indicated on the application.

·    PLEASE have your instrument in good repair BEFORE you come to camp.  Woodwind players, bring EXTRA reeds. 

·    Due to facilities and dorm availability... ON-CAMPUS ENROLLMENT will be limited to 800 students PER WEEK.  In view of this enrollment limitation, it is critical that your Application be filled out completely and correctly THE FIRST TIME...if it is returned to you for corrections, you may miss the deadline for a FREE T-SHIRT or worse...the camp may be FULL by the
        time you get it corrected and returned for processing.
